I recently ran a half marathon. And let me tell you it was hard!
Not just the race itself, but the training, the commitment, the early mornings, the sore legs, the mental walls. It took a lot out of me both physically and mentally. But I did it!
That feeling of finishing something you weren’t sure you could do? That’s powerful.
And the more I reflected, the more I realized: I’ve been doing hard things my whole life.
I’ve been married for 25 years. In this day and age, that’s no small thing. It’s taken commitment, patience, forgiveness, laughter (If you know Derek...A lot of laughter ❤️), and a whole lot of grace. But here we are—still choosing each other, and I look forward to choosing him for the next 25.
I’ve raised two incredible children. Sure, some days I still feel like they’re a work in progress (aren’t we all?), but when I step back and watch them navigate life, I feel proud. They’re kind. Independent. Capable and Responsible. Watching them “adult” well is one of the most rewarding gifts I’ve ever received.
I’ve also experienced deep loss. Grief I don’t talk about much. Pain that changed me in quiet, permanent ways. And while I’m not quite ready to write about that chapter, it’s part of my story. It shaped how I live, how I love, and how I show up.
So yes, I’ve done hard things. And I’ll keep doing them. I’m committed to growth, to grit, to showing up even when it’s uncomfortable.
That’s the same mindset I bring into my real estate work.
